Who Are The Gypsygals?
Philippine-born sisters Prime Sarmiento and Nina Sarmiento are the “gypsygals” behind Gypsygals: Stories and Journeys.
We created this site not only to share our travel stories and photos, but also to help other independent women travellers like us to wander around Asia and Europe. We hope that our tips, news and reviews will help our fellow gypsygals enjoy the journey.
Prime is a Manila-based journalist who writes business stories for a living. But she also pens travel pieces to have a life – a means to feed her soul. Her travel stories have appeared in Frequent Traveler, BootsnAll, Getasia.com (defunct) and Marie Claire Philippines. She maintains a personal site, where you can view a portfolio of her published works:

Nina Sarmiento is a programmer based in Cork, Ireland. She describes herself as a: Bookworm. Chemist. Systems Analyst. GameBoySP Lover. Off-Key Singer. Photographer wannabe.
