Safe and Solo in Europe: Travel Safety Tips

It is safe for women to travel alone through Europe. Key European cities such as Paris, London, Berlin,Vienna and Geneva are among the cities in the world that provide the best quality of living to its residents, according to the Mercer 2010 Quality of Living Survey. Cities included in this list are noted , among other things, for their low crime rates and political and economic stability. (read more here)

Traveling is a career investment

Some people can’t understand why I spend most of my money traveling instead of say, saving for a new model of cellphone (WHY?) or a car (ok that might be a necessity, given that Manila doesn’t have a very efficient public transport system. But then again why?). (read more here)

The green green grass of Ireland: Ahh summer, the best time to visit Europe

I like traveling solo around Europe. I can wander around at my own pace, in my own time. I don’t have to compromise. I don’t ask for someone else’s permission.I can do all the things that I want – visiting museums, shopping for gifts, taking photos of churches, castles and bridges. At night, I can relax in my room and read a book, no one forcing me to get sauced in a bar. Hellooo…I live in Ireland where I spend most nights drinking with my friends in a pub. Why bother going overseas just to get some alcohol, duh! (read more here)
